Ina Porselius (f. 1989, Visby, Sverige) bor och verkar i Göteborg. Hon har en master i fri konst från Kunstakademiet i Oslo samt en magisterexamen i film, med inriktning på filmiska processer, från Akademin Valand i Göteborg. Hon har bland annat ställt ut på Borås Konstmuseum, Galleri Box, Studio 17 och Gotlands Konstmuseum. Hennes verk har även visats på Göteborg Film Festival och Tempo Dokumentärfestival, och hon tilldelades priset för Bästa konstfilm på Frame Festival.

Ina Porselius arbetar med video, installation och text – både som videoinstallationer i utställningsrum och som filmer för bioduken. Hennes konstnärskap kretsar kring frågor om klass, makt, representation och identitet. Med en bakgrund i en arbetarfamilj är det centralt för henne att detta perspektiv ges utrymme i de rum där hon verkar i dag. Hon arbetar nära ett dokumentärt berättande och är intresserad av olika verkligheter, även om hon dramatiserar dessa verkligheter. 

I sina senaste verk har Ina Porselius fokuserat på osynligt arbete inom lågavlönade, ofta kvinnligt kodade yrkesgrupper. Hennes konst hyllar dessa förbisedda yrken och den omsorg som präglar deras arbete – en omsorg som sällan uppmärksammas. Genom sina verk vill hon bidra till en bredare diskussion om jämlikhet och samhällsstrukturer, samt använda konsten som en brygga för att skapa förståelse mellan människor med olika erfarenheter och livsvillkor.

Ina Porselius (b. 1989, Visby, Sweden) lives and works in Gothenburg. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo, as well as a Master’s degree in Film with a focus on cinematic processes from Valand Academy in Gothenburg. Her work has been exhibited at, among others, Borås Art Museum, Galleri Box, Studio 17, and Gotland Art Museum. Her work is closely aligned with documentary storytelling and explores different realities – even as she dramatizes those realities.

In her recent works, Ina Porselius has focused on invisible labor in low-paid, often female-coded professions. Her art celebrates these overlooked occupations and the care that defines their work – a form of care that is rarely recognized. Through her practice, she aims to contribute to a broader discussion on equality and social structures, and to use art as a bridge for creating understanding between people with different experiences and living conditions.
